Goblin Mire
A downloadable game for Windows
Goblin Mire is a small rougelite survival game made by one person in span of roughly 14 days as a part of the Cute or Creepy Goblin Jam. The game has simple controls only requiring mouse with the functionality of clicking with the middle wheel.
The controls are simple, you walk by right clicking, you use item in hand by left clicking, and you drop them on the ground by pressing the mouse wheel. In order to eat, you have to place food items on top of the player model, and if you want to craft or see the item descriptions/quit the game, you just press the big buttons on the side of the screen to view the buttons.
The game unlike most survival games does not have a save function, nor does it incentivize player to build a base. You can in fact only place two structures in the game, and the game is very heavily based on player mindlessly wondering through the endless mire collecting resources and avoiding death, with the ultimate goal being killing a final boss. While the controls might seem easy, the game is not guaranteed to be easy, and will be basically impossible to beat on first try, so try to learn from your deaths.
The entire game was made by one single person in span of roughly 14 days. All assets with the exception of few stock textures gathered from the internet. Music for this game was sampled from pre-existing royalty free loops and while marked as not containing any AI generated content, I did use one AI tool in making of this game, that being small online tool used for turning stock images into seamless textures.
The game was developed on Unreal Engine 4.27
